LA AUSENCIA Y LA FOTOGRAFÍA

 

Del latín absentia, derivado del participio absens, del verbo abesse. Un compuesto de esse (ser, estar) con el prefijo –ab (alejamiento). La palabra “esencia” comparte la misma raíz. Ausencia – esencia.

La música de la ausencia aun estando. El alma de las cosas. El silencio.

 

Representa una “realidad” incompleta que cede sitio al espectador, aspirando a que se vuelva intérprete, incluyéndolo. Buscando la identificación por nostalgia o anhelo; como dijo Hersson Piratoba, “generando recuerdos aún sin haberlos vivido.”

It represents an incomplete "reality" which gives some room to the spectator, for them to became an interpreter, to became part of it. Seeking the identification by means of nostalgia or eagerness, as Hersson Piratoba said, "generating memories even without having experienced them."
